We can offer monitoring, which is 24 hours a day 365 days a year. If your alarm is activated it automatically informs our alarm receiving centre which then alerts you immediately.
The monitoring station that we use is one of Europe’s largest and most comprehensive independent alarm receiving centre (ARC) and remote video receiving centre (RVRC). With a customer base of over 1000 installers throughout the UK and EIRE.
Your systems can also be monitored for times of closing and opening so that if your premises was not set or unset at a specific time you could be informed.
If you would rather not have police attendance we can supply and install systems that can call or text you instead.
Questions you may have.
What is a Digital Communicator
The digital communicator is like a computer modem attached to your alarm system - it passes digital information to a 24-hour alarm receiving centre who are able to respond to the signal in accordance with agreed police policy and your personal requirements.
Most communicators have 8 active channels but some use 16 and others use what is called "Point iD" which means that the alarm receiving centre knows exactly which room is violated or which user is unsetting the system. "Point iD can pass numerous different coded signals to the alarm receiving centre.
What is Redcare
RedCARE is an alarm signalling network. This means a network that monitors and checks the system every minute and every hour of every day.
If the alarm is activated or the phone line is affected in any way, it acts within seconds, transmitting an appropriate signal to the monitoring centre, no matter whether the line is engaged, damaged or even cut through.
By using your existing BT line, you can benefit from the maximum peace of mind that RedCARE brings, without the extra cost of a new or separate phone line, and with no disruption to your business activity or home life.
What is Redcare GSM
BT Redcare GSM uses the security of a BT phone line with the added protection of a GSM radio back-up path. If either is interfered with by an intruder, the other continues to monitor for any further alarms and transmits them as ‘confirmed activations’ – extra confirmation that an intruder is on the premises and that the alarm isn’t false. A ‘confirmed activation’ attracts immediate response from the emergency services.
BT Redcare GSM is ideal for all commercials risks and homes needing the highest level of security.
The Difference Between Redcare & Redcare GSM
Redcare home monitoring is a dual path system that polls in accordance with EN50131 grade 2, i.e. at least once every 25 hours.
redcare home monitoring will run on any PSTN line, it does not have to be via a BT network.
redcare home monitoring signals the alarm receiving centres using the PSTN and GSM networks via BT’s digital service platform and therefore does not require the complex infrastructure of scanners & hosts in exchanges required by other redcare services
What Are Key Fobs
Using keyfobs means that setting, part setting and un-setting your system couldn't be simpler; all you have to do is wave your keyfob past the Keypad and the system will set, part set or un-set depending on what you want it to do.
What is a Dual Com
Dual Com is an alarm signalling device that totally combines telephone and radio technologies to provide continuous security for you and your property.
This combination ensures that alarm signals are always transmitted by DualCom despite damage to one of the signalling paths. Burglar alarm systems that rely on a single technology can be disabled if the phone line is cut, or the radio fails, but DualCom's resilience provides a secure signalling path which makes it highly reliable signalling device.
